Dr. Ron Platz has been teaching golf for over 25 years, clubmaking for more than 30 years, and playing tournament golf for more than 40 years. As an instructor Dr. Ron has instructed individuals of various skill levels, and group lessons including mixed skill sets. Dr. Ron was named a Top 100 instructor by the World Golf Teachers Federation.

His tournament experience includes amateur and professional tournaments at the state, regional, national, and international levels. His professional tournament experience includes a number of mini-tours across the U.S. And has had the opportunity to play throughout the U.S. and international locales.

Over the past 30 years as a clubmaker, Dr. Ron has been exposed to technology changes that have influenced his clubmaking/fitting practices, leading to his testing of various aspects of perceived clubmaking/fitting precepts resulting in development of philosophy that industry paradigms sometimes get in the way of individual progress. It is his role to help students and clients to understand those paradigms and why they do not hold up when understood.

Dr. Ron believes the tagline Simply Better Golf℠ is the cornerstone of his philosophy and impacts all aspects of his approach to client situations. By focusing on simple concepts and applying them in the simplest manner, we gain the opportunity to find the “low hanging fruit” in our effort to improve and enjoy our golfing experiences.
